Cats show us the dichotomy of critter cuteness. One meowment, they’re staring up at you all cute and wiggly at your ankles, and the next moment, they’re climbing your jeans with their ears flat on their heads, digging their mean beans into your flesh. Cats do engage in cat-like behavior, don’t they? Natural-born predators, cats struggle with their innate cuteness and built-in destructive tendencies, but this coin flip of good versus evil is one of the reasons that cats are so charming and charismatic. Will they be adorable and curl into my arms while I sleep? Or will they bite my toes at 2 AM in a frantic, feline frenzy?
Either way, a cat lover’s love will never wane.
