This couple thought they were just checking one more thing off their wedding to-do list. Then the universe sent a tiny cat running straight at them.
What was supposed to be a simple wedding errand turned into a surprise adoption. The couple showed up to their wedding venue for a dinner tasting and were immediately approached by a tiny, extremely confident cat who clearly had plans of her own. The staff said she’d been hanging around for a couple of months, charming everyone in sight, and had been calling her Cheeto. Apparently, she was just waiting for the right moment and the right people.
Of course, the naming debate kicked in right away. One person wanted something sweet like Pigeon. The other went fully off the rails with “the disco strangler.” A peaceful middle ground was eventually found, and Margeaux won out, which feels fitting for a cat who added herself to someone’s wedding story.
From the moment she got into the car, it was clear this wasn’t a temporary situation. She purred nonstop, demanded face pets, and acted like she’d always belonged there. She’s small, but makes up for it with confidence and affection.
Their doggo is already part of the wedding plans, so at this point it only makes sense to include Margeaux too. After all, she’s just stopping by her old workplace to say hello. The venue may not have come with a cat, but the Cat Distribution System clearly knew what it was doing.
