One of 2025’s highest-grossing movies has just been added to Disney+‘s library. As of today, Disney‘s hit animated movie Zootopia 2 is now finally available to stream on Disney+, more than three months after its theatrical debut.
What do we know about Disney’s Zootopia 2?
Zootopia 2 was directed by Encanto filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also writing the screenplay and Yvett Merino producing the movie. The sequel also features the return of Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde and Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps. During its theatrical run, the sequel grossed over $1.8 billion at the global box office, making it the second-highest-grossing film of 2025. Since its debut, the movie has received a Certified Fresh score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 224 reviews.
“The film follows rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, who find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down,” reads the official synopsis. “To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.”
The voice cast also included Shakira as Gazelle, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Ke Huy Quan as Gary De’Snake, Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby, Fortune Feimster as Nibbles, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, Leah Latham as Fru Fru, Josh Dallas as Frantic Pig, Dwayne Johnson as Zeke, Auliʻi Cravalho as Pen, Josh Gad as Paul, more. At the moment, the film is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
