EXCLUSIVE: Netflix and Alloy Entertainment have added six to the cast of their holiday rom-com In a Holidaze: Andrea Anders (Ted Lasso), Gil Bellows (Patriot), comedian Patton Oswalt (GOAT), Jackie Sandler (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah), Luke Roessler (Smoke), and Meredith Salenger (Star Wars: Tales of the Empire).
Character details are under wraps. As we first reported, the film’s leads are Maddie Ziegler, Rob Lowe, Graham Phillips, and Elias Kacavas.
Written and directed by Tiffany Paulsen (Winter Spring Summer or Fall), In a Holidaze follows a directionless twenty-something who, after making a romantic mistake of epic proportions, finds herself trapped in a holiday time-loop, forced to relive the same Christmas at her family’s cabin until she discovers what truly makes her happy.
The first film to emerge from Alloy’s new multi-year first-look deal with Netflix, it’s based on the 2020 novel by Christina Lauren, aka the duo of Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings.
Paulsen told Deadline, “From the day I finished the book, I knew this project would be something truly special. I’m beyond excited with this truly incredible cast and I can’t wait to bring it to life!”
Alloy’s president and chief creative officer Leslie Morgenstein is producing In a Holidaze alongside the company’s EVP Film, Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, with Lowe exec producing.
