Tripping Daisy are reuniting to tour North America for this first time in 26 years. The summer outing comes is in celebration of their album I Am an Elastic Firecracker, which turns 30 this year. To commemorate the occasion, frontman Tim DeLaughter and co. have promised to play Firecracker in full alongside other fan favorites.
The tour kicks off in their native Dallas on June 21st, before they head through the Midwest, including Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Columbus and more. After that, they’ll hit two shows in Canada before finishing out the tour on the East coast. The final concert is scheduled for July 20th in Charlotte. Tickets for select dates will go on sale this Friday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Tripping Daisy was founded in 1990 by DeLaughter, but disbanded in 1999 following the unexpected death of guitarist Wes Berggren. DeLaughter and his bandmates reformed a year later as The Polyphonic Spree. Tripping Daisy’s most recent album was their self-titled record, released in 2000. Along with their upcoming tour dates, the band has plans to release a new album.
